ABOUT CANSTRUCTION
Over the past 21 years, Canstruction has grown into a meaningful tradition that brings together around 750 people to join RIFA in the fight against hunger. Our fun-filled night is scheduled for Thursday, September 24 at the Carl Perkins Civic Center in Downtown Jackson.
In this design competition, Jackson-based businesses, churches, schools, and organizations form teams to showcase their talents by creating giant sculptures entirely out of unopened cans of food. And at the end of the evening, all of the food is donated to RIFA for distribution to people in our community!
At the Canstruction gala on Thursday night, September 24, attendees will view the structures, share a catered meal, and enjoy a night of comedy from Shawn Reynolds.
ABOUT CANSTRUCTION

ABOUT SHAWN REYNOLDS
As seen on tour with Tim Hawkins, Shawn Reynolds is a nationally touring comedian whose Dry Bar Comedy special has amassed MILLIONS of views. He has headlined multiple tours including the MidWest Clean Comedy All-Stars Tour and the UpStanding Comedy Tour in Canada. He has appeared on TBN, CircleTV, locally on ABC & NBC, was a finalist in Chicago’s National “Clean Comedy Challenge” and he’s the WINNER of the “Funniest Comic East of the Mississippi” competition. He’s also the founder of “Stand-Up For Adoption”; a comedy benefit series that has raised thousands for families trying to adopt children with special needs.
